The Trussell Trust runs the largest network of food banks in the UK, giving emergency food and support to people in crisis. Fourteen million people live below the poverty line and in the last year 1,9 million three-day emergency food supplies were distributed to people in crisis.

Message from a family during COVID-19: 'We have just received 6 bags making up a food parcel. I was shocked to open the door and see this. I was expecting a phone call , not a delivery. I don't really know what to say. At such a difficult time as this is, to see there are still such caring and hard working individuals and organisations out there is touching. And the scripture that was mentioned [in the gift for you card] is also a favourite of ours. Praise be to God, of course, but thanks to you all too.'
We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
The following three phrases encapsulate ALL that we do and hope to offer:
Restoring Dignity - Showing empathy and respect for those experiencing crisis.
Reviving Hope - Promoting the message that God loves and cares for those in crisis and can bring hope where there is none.
Building Community - Enabling the wider community of Basingstoke and Deane to partner with us in supporting those in crisis, through donations of food, money and time.
